Baby Great Horned Owl Returned to Nest

A baby Great Horned Owl fell out of its nest a couple of days ago near Cross Lake. Fortunately, Marilyn and Ronald saw it sitting on the ground and rescued it before any harm was done. They brought it to Dr Deb at the Garrison Animal Hospital where it was examined and found to be OK. It was decided to have it put back in the nest so its parents could continue caring for it. Jim and Becky volunteered to take it back to its nest area where they would meet Mike from Mike’s Tree Service who would do the actual return to the nest which was about 30 feet off the ground.
